Oh, wow.

This is amazing writing - the details, the dance of not-quite-there, the change in season, the twist in the bottom of the stomach. And everything so spare and precise and agonizingly empty, until it isn't anymore, and I felt like I couldn't breathe until near the end of the story when everything opened up. It hurt my stomach, reading it. In a good way.
